Basic Makeup Tips Q & A

Q – Hey everyone, I was wondering if you could give me some makeup tips. I wear pretty basic makeup already- bare minerals cover up, eyeliner, bronzer, mascara, eyeshadow, lipgloss. but I was wondering what I could do to improve my appearance, and make my face stand out more.
(: any tips appreciated.

A – BasicMakeup.com Suggests:

  1. Start with a good foundation, it will even out your skin-tone and hide any blemishes, and will also provide a good base for the rest of your makeup.
  2. Under-eye concealer- not too thick, or it will look cakey.
  3. Eyeliner- for you I would suggest a nice brown smudged into the lower and upper lashline, or perhaps a black to make your eyes pop.
  4. Eyeshadow- Look up your color palette to see which eyeshadows will compliment your skin tone/hair. Browns/sparkly neutrals usually look good on everyone (Golds/Champagnes/Browns/Taupes/Charcoals/Greys).
  5. Blush- you can either get this is liquid or powder form. I suggest a nice pinky tone that will look natural but still fresh and pretty.
  6. Highlighter- This is another option. You can get it in liquid form from places such as the Body Shop, its like a white sparkly liquid you can put on your cheeks to catch the light and make them look dewy (I also put a little bit on my eyes sometimes).
  7. A little bit of lipgloss, either clear or tinted.
  8. Mascara, obviously.

This might seem a lot, but if you put a little bit of it in all the rightplaces, you will naturally gorgeous, not a cake-face.
