Basic Makeup Techniques
When applying Basic Makeup one of the main reasons is to create a good first impression. Let’s face it – if you’re young and single probably your greatest objective is to make that impression with the boy or man you love. So, getting feedback from him and seeing yourself from his point of view is quite helpful in understanding how you create an impression with all males. Now you’re probably thinking, ‘Men don’t have any taste when it comes to makeup!’ But, the opposite is really true. Not convinced? Give this a try – go ask your boy friend how your makeup looks. You’ll be surprised how much he does know.
Here’s what we’ev learned about Men and their views on makeup. They’re crazy about natural textures and shadows. This may be a surprise to you. You see them ogle over hollywood starts and models but they see that as Stage Makeup. And to a man it has nothing to do with normal, real life. For men they simply dismiss this look as fantasy. If men are looking for natural they are almost always attracted to natural colours, like a subtle pink blush in your cheeks or a light sun-kissed look all over your face. Take advantage of natural attraction by giving your cheeks a little blush whenever you’re preparing to go on a date or even out shopping. You’re sure to attract some looks.
Now choosing the right shade of colour is important. Don’t just pick any pink. You need to know what colour and shade best matches your skin tone. Learning how to subtly apply your blush using the best makeup techniques is important too. Here’s a Basic Blush Makeup Tip – Apply your blush make-up to the bony area of your face, then apply a little on your nose, your chin and on your forehead too. It will brighten your entire face and give you a nice healthy slightly flushed look. Something any man can’t resist!
If men could vote for the best sensual, sexy makeup product they would probably vote for lipstick. But we’ve got anther little Basic Make-Up Secret – mascara is what really turns them on. Using mascara dresses up your eyes in a way which is magnetic. Never leave this step out of your daily Basic Makeup routine. Mascara is the best way for emphasize your eyes.
These two simple Eye Makeup Techniques will create that first-time impression every time your boyfriend see’s you.
Any Tips, Techniques for Applying Basic Makeup? Thanks!
Q – I need to know how to apply basic make-up. Like, what to do. You can tell me a tip, or anything. Explain one, explain two, do whatever. What’s your technique?
A – Here are the Basics of Makeup. Play around and have fun creating your own unique look!
Moisturizer.
Apply with clean fingertips to damp skin and wait to fully dry before continuing. If you were to apply moisturizer after the primer, the nutrients from the moisturizer wouldn’t soak into your skin.
Primer.
Primer set the foundation for your Basic Makeup and insures it stays on. Primer is made to create a coat on your face so your make-up won’t look ‘cakey’. Of course it’s always best to apply any makeup with quality Makeup Brushes and to avoid using your fingers.
Liquid Foundation.
Apply onto a sponge by doting it on the sponge then rubbing in with a small brush or clean fingertips then rub onto face.
Concealer.
Never apply your concealer before foundation! The foundation would just rub it all around, ruining the point of the concealer. Always buy concealer one shade lighter than your skin tone for under eyes. Put a small amount onto clean fingertips and dot under your eyes and in a line up to the end of your brow. Never rub, always dot on. Just keep doting until it is fully and naturally rubbed into/onto skin. For pimples and acne, always buy it your shade and dot it into the skin where the blemish is until it is fully concealed and blended in.
Summer: Bronzer.
Always apply before the powder foundation. Apply in a line starting at the temples, along the hairline, and straight down to under your cheeks. You can also apply it on the verge of the nose, forehead, and chin. Use in the summer and spring for a sun-kissed glow, never in the winter or you’ll appear out of season.
Fall/Winter: Cream Blush.
Go with a sheer cream blush in a red tinted color for the winter and fall, to give a healthy glow. Remember, less is more, so never go over on blush.
Powder Foundation.
Always apply the powder after all the liquids and creams. This will set your make-up for a matte, shine-free finish. It will also keep your make-up in place. Use a large, fluffy, make-up brush to apply. Clean your brush once a week with anti-bacterial liquid hand soap.
Spring/Summer: Powder Blush.
Use powder blushes in a bright pink color for summer and spring. Remember, less is more, so never go over on blush.
Lips.
For winter and fall, use a red tinted or a bold red color. If you go bold on the lips, always go suddel on the eyes. For spring and summer, use a lip balm with no added coloring to condition lips but look natural.
Eyes.
Never use too much eyeshadow, especially in the spring and summer. In spring and summer choose a color that is light and is in the same family as your blush. Spring and summer is all about floral colors in the eyes. For winter and fall, use earthy colors, such as green and brown. Never use eyeliner in the summer or spring, because in those seasons you really want to focus on the bronze glow. Use it very lightly, doing little dashes across the top lid, for a bold eye. If you go bold on the eyes, always go suddel on the lips. Always use black mascara. Only apply to the top lashes.
